My “top of the year” stuff type list
Movies
Movies bore me much more than they ever used to. TV is where it’s at for me now. Those scanning this blog might know i rather like Breaking Bad. King of TV. Beats movies, too. That said, my top movies of the year:
1 127 hours - magnificent photography, wonderful soundtrack with music by A. R. Rahman, what blu ray was made for.
2 American: The Bill Hicks Story - as well as tv ruling my entertainment time now, so too do documentaries. My personal hero, Bill Hicks, got the recognition he deserved here, and the animation effects to tell his story worked brilliantly. Tons of extras on the blu, also.
3 The King’s Speech - UK in “decent film” shocker.

Emancipator - Safe in the Steep Cliffs
A fantastic new discovery for me. other notable findings for me are de-phazz, album leaf, little people, flevans. And favourites Röyksopp continued to deliver, even if it was just occasional track of the month listings. Fred Deakin (of awesome Lemon Jelly) released 4 new tracks as Frank Eddie and that was all we got from him. Lovely stuff though. 2 more tracks next month…
Game
No single game consumed my time like Zen Pinball on XBox live arcade. It’s the only pinball I can play nowadays. Simulations. Not the same, but better than nothing. This is the finest pinball sim there is (until Pinball Arcade arrives next month) and, God, are there some good players out there.
